Abstract: A ording to the data olle ted from 17 NC ma hine tools of one ertain type, the statis-
ti al method w as firstly used to arry out the rate between the failure positions and the failur e modes.
To solve the un ertain problem of the failure effe t probability w hen sorting the riti ality values,
fuzzy linguisti variables and fuzzy omprehensive evaluation w ere introdu ed to the riti ality analy-
sis. Then the weakness and the failure modes an be identified, whi h has greater effe t on the relia-
bility of NC ma hine tools.
