It can stimulate the interest of students and develop their ability of imagination and creativity, making students the subject of learning. Both teachers and students benefit from it and thus achieve the best teaching effectiveness. In this paper, the application of multimedia courseware in college English will be explored from the following aspects: the advantages and potential problems of multimedia courseware teaching. The author also gives some reasonable solutions. It can be concluded that only by paying more attention to some issues, can English teachers achieve better teaching effectiveness.
