On the basis of this constitutive model , a cylindrical damage rockbolt element model (CDRB element model) is proposed to simulate the reinforcing ef fect of bolts in intermittent jointed rockmass . Finally , the proposed models have been applied to the stability analysis of the high slope of Three Gorges Shiplock under construction . The 3D nonlinear FEM analysis of the bolted slope rockmass gives satisfactory results . Key w ords 　elastoplastic damage , CDRB element m
