The nickel nanoparticles are prepared by rapid microwave ( MW) heating of ethylene glycol solu- tions of NiCl w ith PVP as the protecting agent and hydrazine hydrate as the reducing agent. Investigation of Ni 2 colloids by transmission electron microscopy T M( ) indicates that the Ni particles are the aggregates of Ni nanocrystallines w ith an average diameter of 6 nm .
