Laser marking is a new type of non-contact, non-polluting, non-wear processing technology, which has increasingly become an effective method of marking , been more widely used in all walks of life . Laser marking machine is mainly used to carve graphics on surfaces of metal, non-metallic materials, and has a wide range of applications in all kinds of industries . However, the control technology for laser marking machine is still not so perfect as our expectations, some technology for product is still waiting for development. The design has realized an object-oriented laser marking control software. with the friendly and interactive interface, the user can complete the input work of data and graphics for marking very easily and finish control tasks of laser marking conveniently. This article introduced the background, status and trends of laser marking technology, introduced VC6.0 development environment, GDI+ and their simple usage. The paper introduced the software about the interface module, graphics rendering module and graphics operations module, with the design and implementation of all modules and the representative realization in the development procedure such as conventional geometry graphics, TrueType fonts, bar code and CAD files analysis.
