H ow ever, the structural effect of conductive components should be considered in analyzingm ixture conductivity, am ere consideration of parallel or series connec- tion is not perfect; and the conductivity of shaly sand shou ld be some / m ixture connection0 result of free w ater and clayw ater accord ing to its structural characteristic. A new formu la on equ ivalent formation wa- ter conductivity of dualw aterm ixture connection model is deduced from the conductivity formu la forwho-l ly isotropicm ixture composed of tw o k inds of conductor pellets. A comparison betw een shaly sand con- ductivities calcu lated w ith the old or new formula and expermi ental data show s that the new formu la is more accurate than old one.
