10.1007/s11771-011-0854-8 Heavymetalsaccumulationeffectin rabbitbodyfluidsaftersmoking ZHONGKuang-biao1 GUIMing1 ZHULi-yong1 LIWei1 GUANCha-xiang1 GUOFang-qiu2 1.UrologySurgeryofTheThirdXiangyaHospital,CentralSouthUniversity,Changsha410083,China; 2.SchoolofChemistryandChemicalEngineering,CentralSouthUniversity,Changsha410083,China Abstract:Concentrationofheavymetalsinbloodandurineofrabbitafterinhalingthreedifferentkindsofcigarettewasstudied throughtheanimalpassivesmokingpattern.Thesampleswerepreparedbynitricacidsolutiondigestionanddeterminationofseven kindsofheavymetalsincludingHg,Se,Sn,Pb,Cd,NiandCrwasperformedbyinductivelycoupledplasma-atomicemission spectrometry(ICP-AES).TheICP-AESmethodwasestablishedwithgoodprecisionandaccuracy,relativestandarddeviation(n=6) wasbetween2.9％ and5.9％,andtherecoverywasintherangeof95.0％-104.2％.Concentrationofsixheavymetalsincreasesin someextentinbloodandurineafterperiodofsmokingandtheincreasingofheavymetalsinbloodandurineallshowstime dependence.Significantlyhigherheavymetallevelsareobservedinthebloodandurineofthecigaretteinhalingrabbitsinthe exposedgroup.Theconcentrationofsixkindsofheavymetalsinthebloodoftherabbitincreasesafter16weeksexposingto cigarettesmoking.ThreetimesofHg,tentimesofSeandtraceamountofPb,Cd,NiandCraredetectedinthebloodafter16weeks ofsmoking.Forurinesamples,aboutthreetimesofHg,twotimesofSe,fivetimesofPbandtraceamountofCdaredetectedafter16 weeksofinhalationofcigarette.Comparatively,higherconcentrationofheavymetalsaredetectedafterinhalingofNisecigarette. inductivelycoupledplasma-atomicemissionspectrometry;blood;urine;heavymetalelement Project(11JJ5053)supportedbytheProvincialNaturalScienceFoundationofHunanProvince,China 2011-06-02 2011-08-08
