Bonus Idiom To make someone see stars This means to knock someone out i.e unconscious. Try to think of the old ‘Tom & Jerry’ cartoons where poor old Tom is knocked on he head and he sees stars. Another example: Rob saw stars when the rock fell on his head. Listener email 1) Hot means sexy, whereas gorgeous means attractive but not necessarily sexy.
