TFT-LCD 1 2 - 3 Berreman 4 5 TFT-LCD TFT-LCD 6 TFT-LCD TFT TFT-LCD I Abstract In this thesis for the masterate,we expatiate on several common Liquid Crystal Display modes on the basis of liquid crystals’ physical characters,and put our most attention to Thin- Film-Transistor Liquid Crystal Display’s(TFT-LCD) structure and it’s manufacture technics.This investigation gives us a broadly theory and application foundation to comprehend the whole Pro- duction Technics of Liquid Crystal Displays,perfect the working procedure technics,and study more advanced manufacture technics. The work of our paper can be divided into following parts: (1) We have introduced the history of liquid crystals’ theory and the development of Liquid Crystal Display.Then,we explain liquid crystals sorts and the characteristics of each one. (2)Taking liquid crystals physical characters as foundation,we have discussed its’ dielectric anisotropy and the measurement of order-parameter,and refer to two different basic liquid crystals theories which are Statistical Description theory and Continuum Elastic Bo
