Competency is demonstrated by the application of knowledge and skills to a range of tasks manufacturing techniques will include metal bending, cutting, measuring and OHS practices. Realistic job completion timeframes and safety and personal conduct requirements of a manufacturing workplace. OHS requirements include identifying hazards, assessing and reporting risks, cleaning, maintaining and storing tools and equipment, appropriate use of personal protective equipment including sun protection, safe operation of tools and equipment, correct manual handling and personal hygiene. Evidence for a group of units of competency will be collected. Evidence Towards Competency will be collated into a portfolio of work.
