As our country grew, the number of stars grew too. The Statue of Liberty is a gift from France to the United States for our country’s 100th birthday. She is on Liberty Island next to New York. The White House is the home of the President. It is located in Washington, D.C. President Washington helped build this house, but did not live in it. There are 132 rooms, 35 bathrooms, 6 levels, 412 doors, 147 windows, 28 fireplaces, 8 staircases, and 3 elevators. That’s a big house!!
