华 中 科 技 大 学 摘要 近年来，随着移动便携设备的普及，无线局域网技术取得了巨大的发展。无线局域技 术的发展使得各种便携设备以较为低廉的价格接入网络，其中 IEEE 802.11 是目前最成熟 的无线局域网标准。IEEE 802.11 标准规定了无线局域网的MAC 和物理层的参数。 吞吐量是无线局域网重要性能指标之一，常常作为无线局域网的性能好坏的评判。然 而，无线局域网吞吐量受到多种因素的影响，噪声是其中重要的一个因素。本文研究了无 线局域网有噪链路的吞吐量，首先对现有理论模型的研究和讨论，而后通过仿真讨论了噪 声、分组长度、退避时间等对无线局域网吞吐量的影响。本文的讨论成果对无线局域网的 设计与使用提供参考。 关键词：无线局域网，吞吐量，信噪比 I 华 中 科 技 大 学 Abstract In recent years, the proliferation of portable and laptop computers has led to the development of the wireless LAN (WLAN) technology. The success of WLANs is connected to the development of networking products that can provide wireless network access at a competitive price. Wireless technologies in the LAN environment are becoming increasingly important and the IEEE 802.11 is the most mature technology to date. In IEEE 802.11, standards for MAC and physical layers of wireless local area networks (WLANs) are specified. The throughput is one of the key performances of wireless LAN which can often be used to evaluate the overall performance and deployment of wireless LAN. However, the wireless LAN throughput can be affected by many factors, in which noise is one of the most important factors. In this thesis, the throughput of wireless LAN in the presence of noise which distorts transmitted frames is studied. The existed theoretical model to calculate the network throughput of wireless LAN from signal to noise ratio is discussed and validated by simulation. This thesis further investigates the impacts of both packet size and back off time on the throughput of wireless LAN, which in turn can be the reference for the design and deployment of wireless LAN.
