To discuss its mechanism of function.Methods ：1. 120 patients with CRF were divided randomly into two groups with the ratio of 1：1， the experimental group and the control group. Patients in the experimental group (30 cases) were administered with Qudu granules (dispel toxic) (5g per time， three times a day) ， while those in the control group(60 cases ) treated with Niao Duqing granules (5g per time ， three times a day). The changes of hemoglobin ， urinary protein per 24hrs ，hemoglobin ， renal function ，parathyroid hormone(PTH) ，N-actely- β-D-glucosaminidase (NAG) ， endothelin (ET)， changes of scores of symptoms of syndromes of deficiency of spleen and kidney， turbid and blood stasis were observed in two groups. The differences between two groups were compared. 2. 90 male Wistar rats were divided randomly into five groups ： the sham operation group ，the model group ，high dosage Qudu granules group (high dosage group)， the low-dosage Qudu granules group (low dosage group) and Niao Duqing group (control group). 18 rats were in each group. Except the rats in the sham operation group ， the left ureterals
