Abstract With the transformation of medical model and the acceleration of medical socialization, the medical disciplines to strengthen humanistic education has become the major issue of the whole society pay close attention to.To strengthen humanities education, it has very important significance to improve the comprehensive quality of medical students and carry forward the humanitarian medicine , it will have extremely far-reaching impact on the medical education reform and development. Due to the difference in the development history, culture and education level, there are many differences in the medical humanities education between China and the United States. This paper tends to analyze the differences in medical humanities education between China and the United States. Explore the significance of the humanistic education to the medical.Through comparison from the part of the education concept and guiding ideology, recruitment system and employment guidance, education process and the teaching methods, teaching contents and curriculum setting, teaching material construction, teaching staff, education evaluation and continue education mechanism, evaluation method and the education effect between China and the United States in the medical humanities education.Conclusion the reason that Chinese medical humanities education is weak and the enlightenment for Chinese medical humanities education. The thesis consists of six chapters.Chapter 1 serves as an introduction to the medical humanistic education. .Chapter 2 serves as an introduction to the definition of medical humanities education..Chapter 3 introduces the purpose of the medical decision that we must strengthen the humanistic education. Chapter 4 compared the medical humanities education between China and the United States.
