But due to the bad connecting rod working condition, the traditional design method is hard to balance stability, economy, etc., the lack of competitiveness. First in this paper, based on the actual situation will complete the design calculation and the parameters of 6108 type diesel engine connecting rod for traditional check, check all safety using CATIA and CAXA software respectively after three under two kinds of model is set up, finish connecting rod three peacekeeping 2 d part drawing and assembly drawing. Finite element method (fem) is a kind of commonly used highly efficient modern design method, the entire continuum of finite discrete units, more intuitive is obtained by the stress state in each unit of analysis results. This design using CATIA to already developed three-dimensional model for finite element analysis of connecting rod body, it is concluded that the connecting rod stress distribution and deformation figure, displacement diagram, such as information, control the should try to make more accurate analysis, finally put forward the optimization scheme.
