In the information age enterprises are facing the problem of how to better combine ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) information technology with cost management. This paper reviews the related literatures in cost management, bill of material and their comprehensive use. Based on the relationship between ERP and enterprise cost management, this paper combined the basic data of ERP-- BOM (bill of materials) with cost management more effectively. Through the DH companys case, in the stage of product design and manufacturing stage, the enterprise cost management based on BOM control from the full perspective of supply chain and enterprise manufacturing costs, puts forward the idea that technical departments and manufacturing departments should cooperate with each other, and in the manufacturing stage through production process reengineering, process optimization and cost control strategy, enterprises can have a better control on production cost, thus, improve the production efficiency of enterprises, so as to promote the economic competitiveness of the enterprise.
