All-Fiber Gas Conjugate Interference FilterAbstract—In this paper an all-fiber conjugate interference filter based on the use of a gas absorption line combined with Mach-Zehnder configuration has been proposed. The device is coupled by a coupler of two fiber arms, the gas cell including the gas information is added to one balance arm of the interferometer, and it can achieve stable output of π phase shift by precisely controlling the absorption line of target gas. When cascade the filter with the broadband light source, the spectrum of output light match well with the absorption spectrum of target gas. The conjugate interference filter designed for different detected gas can be achieved by replacing the kind of target absorbing gas in the gas cell. Using acetylene gas as an example, the experimental results show that the filter can obtain comb spectrum corresponding to acetylene gas absorption and can be used in gas concentration detection.Keywords-component; Gas Conjugate Interference Filter; Gas Sensing; Spectral AbsorptionIntroductionSpectral absorption method is to detect gas concentration by detecting transmitted light intensity changes or reflected light intensity changes of the sample gas. In which low-cost optical source is used in narrow-band spectral absorption technique, and wave filter can be used to choose different absorption peak in order to achieve different gases detection, it has an extremely good future of industrial applications. In order to achieve this goal, the researchers raise all kinds of proposals which include narrow-band wave filter[1-3] based on Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) or Fabry-Perot etalon; the form of narrow-band optical[4-5] by correspond filter of detected gas absorption line with LED optical source, but all of those are not of high stability.
