All the overhead crane beams inside all pump houses , loading racks more or less have the biger gap of more than 1.5mm, which is can,t meet the crane supplier,s requiment . The procedure incorporated the crane suppier’s requirment and IBSF’s suggested solution ,and mainly based on the PROCEDURE FOR STEEL STRUCRE WELDING IN SITE, which is already aproved on ;and WORK PROCEDURE FOR TOUCH-UP FOR COATING aproved on 24.AUG.2011.Meanwhile the procedure Reference AWS D1.1 Structual Welding Code-Steel ASME SEC IX Standard for Welding and Brazing IBSF Shop drawing and Manufacture,s Specification Saudi Crane Manufacture,s Specification Modification procedure Site joint Inspection Shoud be conducted by construction team , Sinopec QC personnal and PID (if required )to measure all the gaps ,and make a record for tracing. The records shall include the Job No, Beam No,gap value, site joint signature For the gap 4mm and above, ask IBSF to provide a slice as filler material, the slice is the same section size of the monorail beam without coating. The thickness of the slice is 1mm smaller than the relevent gap.
