DESCRIPTION SHEET NO. 1.0.0 GENERAL 3 2.0.0 INTENT OF SPECIFICATION 3 3.0.0 GENERATING UNIT OUTLINE 4 4.0.0 PERFORMANCE 5 5.0.0 CODES AND STANDARDS 5  SECTION – 1 INTRODUCTION GENERAL Grasim Industries Limited (GIL) intends to construct a pet-coke fired (as base fuel) thermal power plant having capacity of 2 x 25 MWe for Vikram Cement at Khor, Madhya Pradesh. Vikram Cement (VC) is a unit of Grasim Industries Limited (GIL), a group company of A.V. Birla. The generating unit consist of two circulating fluidised bed combustion (CFBC) boilers firing pet-coke as primary fuel, two condensing steam turbine and generators, two air cooled condensers and other necessary auxiliary equipment including balance of plant equipment. The generating station shall be designed to operate with high efficiency and availability at various modes throughout the lifetime of the project considering the nature of cement plant loading. The equipment and spare parts shall be supplied in accordance with the approved vendor list and mandatory spare part list as outlined in Annexes 17 and 19 respectively. Terms that are defined in the Agreement shall have the same meaning when used in this Technical Specification. INTENT OF SPECIFICATION Equipment, accessories and services to be furnished in accordance with this specification on EPC basis shall include design, engineering, manufacture, inspection and testing at manufacturer’s works, packing and ocean shipment, customs clearance, port clearance, port charges, inland transportation, receipt and storage of equipment at site, fabrication, pre-assembly, erection / installation, site testing, commissioning trial operation, performance and guarantee tests and other services related to the equipment / systems for 2 x 25 MWe unit, as specified hereinafter and in accordance with the requirements, conditions, appendices etc
