1. Warming- up
a. Work in pairs.
Look at the photo scrapbook of childhood memories. Talk about what kind of childhood memories they show. Do any photos remind you of anything from your childhood?
b. Lead-in questions.
Read the short biography about Sylvia Plath and find out:
● who she was
● when she lived
● what kind of person she might have been
c. Warming-up discussion:
Go over the preview, the pre-reading questions and the title of the text before listening to the summary of the story and anticipate what we are going to read.
● Who is superman?
● Why do you think the writer talks about superman?
● What role might Superman play in her childhood?
