Eco-ethnographical writing, I will argue, is one of the best ways to highlight the synaesthestic, integrative features of human beings and other beings in Native American culture. This paper excogitates a Native American poetress, Diane Glancy, and her poetry anthology, “The Relief of America” to expose how Glancy, after a nation-wide trip, uncovers the landscape and the brutal maltreatment of the White Americans in terms of her highlighting on ecological and ethnographical writing—which is coined in this paper as eco-ethnography.
