Sample Response 1: If my school were considering whether to use money for recreational facilities or for improving the school cafeteria, I would suggest the best use of the money would be to improve the cafeteria menus. Not only would improving the menus generate more income for the cafeteria, but it would also have a more positive impact on the overall health and well-being of the student population. Currently, the food served by the school cafeteria is essentially inedible. Neither my friends nor I ever eat the cafeteria lunch if we can help it. If I forget to bring my lunch, I chose to go without lunch for the day than to eat what they serve at the cafeteria. Since hardly anybody buys the cafeteria lunch, the kitchen facilities and the kitchen staff are basically a waste of money and resources. If the school improved the cafeteria meals, students might actually buy lunch. Although an increase in sales at the cafeteria might not bring extra income, at the very least the school cafeteria will break even. I also do not think our school needs to direct any more funds towards recreational facilities and social activities. Somebody suggested that adding money to the football budget might help attract more people to watch the games, thereby boosting school spirit and student participation in school activities. However, I do not think this is necessary. To begin with, the football program is already very well-funded. In addition, they are allowed to charge entrance fees to their games, which bring in quite a lot of revenue. Allocating more of the budget to recreational facilities and social events is not as beneficial to the school as improving the cafeteria meals. Additionally, I beli
