The “new” Propofol MCT/LCT Fresenius The new formulation of Propofol Fresenius differs in the lipid part from the current LCT version: The oil phase of Propofol MCT/LCT is a 1:1 mixture of MCT (coconut-) oil and LCT (soya-bean-) oil. R1 - R3 represent fatty acids (FA) fixed to the glycerol. LCT fat consists of long fatty acid chains of C16-C20. R2 is almost always unsaturated FA.
