For a long time, our society has attached great importance to improving the quality of teachers, while ignoring the specialized training for parents. Thus there are many weaknesses in Chinese family education. We should learn advantages and strengths from foreign family education actively and improve the level of Chinese family education continuously. Keywords: American family education; Implications; Characteristics; 摘要:家庭是孩子的第一所学校,父母是孩子的第一任教师。然而长期以来,我们的社会却一直十分重视教师素质的提高,而忽视了对父母的专门培训,因而在我国的家庭教育中存在很多薄弱环节。所以,我们不仅应该认识到自己的不足之处,更应该积极借鉴国外家庭教育的优点和长处,不断提高我国家庭教育的科学性。 关键词:美国;家庭教育;启示;特色; Introduction Lu Xun has put forward the famous “takeism”, meaning “we learn what we need from western culture through the process of selection and innovation. The academic circle has given the family education different definitions which can be divided into the generalized and specialized concept. Of many concepts, Professor Zhao Zhongxin is the most representative and specialized family education concept is discussed in this paper. From the specialized concept of Professor Zhao, family education refers to the elder family members (mostly parents) apply one-way education and influence to the young members. With the rapid development of economy and society, family education has aroused great attention from all sectors of society.
