Cooperative mission: The mission of San Patricio Electric Cooperative (SPEC) governs the work of all SPEC employees, and as stated is: “Our mission is to provide safe and reliable electric service for our Member/Owners.” To provide electric service to enhance the quality of life for our members. To provide electric service at reasonable and sustainable rates. To provide excellent customer service with well trained, helpful and courteous employees. To provide support to our local communities. To operate San Patricio Electric Cooperative as a member owned, not for profit, electric cooperative guided by the seven cooperative principles. II. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES RESPONSIBILITIES: Reads, records, and reports consumers’ meters and records kilowatt-hour use in a timely and accurate manner, when necessary. Investigates, records and notifies the appropriate supervisor of any line or meter, owned or operated by the Cooperative, which is in need of repair or if meter tampering is suspected. Also reports any potential hazards to the service coordinators and the Meter Technician Supervisor. Performs testing, installation and repair of all residential, commercial and industrial meters. Calculates demand multiplier for installations. Troubleshoots malfunctioning meters, zero reads, and inaccurate data. Performs field testing of meters and burden testing of current transformers where it is not practical to remove these for bench testi
