PUI CHING MIDDLE SCHOOL Teacher Portfolio Assessment Basic Level Submitted by: ________________________ Objectives: The purpose of this Portfolio Assessment Checklist is to assist: teachers to identify their current level of IT competency in Education; and professional development providers to assess the level of competency of their participants. It is suggested that this assessment checklist be applied to other teachers who want to identify their current level of IT competency in education, but have not participate in any professional development programs. Portfolio Assessment Tasks: Present a portfolio which consists of the following: A scheme of work consists of a slide show, Web materials to be downloaded from the Internet as reference link, and the use of at least one readily available educational courseware; Rationale for using IT in the lessons: apply what and how to apply; A reflective statement of how they have used IT in their duties as teachers; E-mail the portfolio to the principal or to notify the principal via e-mail that the portfolio is ready with the scheme of work as an attachment; and A Self-assessment form completed by the teachers. Teachers Self-assessment Form: Scheme of Work Completed Yes / No Prepare a scheme of work to reflect the understanding of the appropriate use of slide show, Web materials, and educational courseware in teaching context.
