1 附件:印度中学汉语课程大纲 Middle School Standard Chinese as a third language A Beginning CSL Course 2 Introduction and Rationale Learning Chinese gives tremendous insight into Chinese culture, art, literature, history, music and the way Chinese people think about and perceive different issues. While studying Chinese, students are expected to comprehend that Chinese language uses different strategies of communication than either English or Hindi and they learn to see issues from multiple perspectives. They may be able to adapt themselves between Chinese and Indian cultural communication strategies. Learning Chinese can therefore help Indian students even if they do not attain higher levels of proficiency in Chinese. Moreover, learning of Chinese by Indian students can provide myriad benefits such as improved mental flexibility and enhanced divergent thinking etc. It is important for teachers to investigate and understand listening; speaking; reading and writing transfer strategies in order to better understand the influence English or Hindi language knowledge has in the reading and writing of Chinese. This course is a 120 hour language course spread over to two academic years. The course is envisioned to ? Enable the development of Standard Chinese language skills essential for academic success ? Deliver guidance and practice in the use of language learning strategies ? Support students develop skills and knowledge to enable successful integration into the school and society. Principles of the course ? As language development takes place through meaningful communication, meaningful contexts for learning language are essential ? Language development improves as students employ strategies to increase language skills ? Interdisciplinary themes and activities promote development of language ? Germane and stimulating themes and activities promote development of language 3 ? All important competencies such as reading, writi
