POSITION DESCRIPTION Job Code Job Title:Product EngineerBusiness Unit:Foshan FabristeelOriginator Approval:Engineering ManagerDate:Compensation Approval:HR Functional Head GMDate:Issued Date:Last Revised Date:June 20,2011 Basic Purpose and Function: Manage new product design and development, existing product maintenance to improve quality and cost saving, Manage project from customer input to mass production and provide engineering support for product transfer / outsourcing. Communication: Internally: Work with Engineering Dept on product design, components sourcing, prototyping or testing. Communicate with CS, Production, IE, QA, SCM dept on product maintenance design/change and new product development . Externally: Customers on product change and new product development Counterparts within the organization on product change and new product development Suppliers on critical component or material development C. Supervision： Reports to: Engineering Manager Supervises: None Qualifications : Bachelor degree , major in mechanical engineering or HVAC engineering Minimum 5 years working experience in commercial equipment or household appliance design and manufacturing, at least 2 years working experience in project management Good knowledge in holding and cooking equipment design. Familiar with metal sheet manufacturing process such as punching, bending, welding, polishing Knowledge in testing instrument such as datalogger, fan gauge, current/voltage meter Experienced in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Windows Office software Knowledge in NSF, FDA, UL and CCC certification process Fluent in written and oral English is a plus Major Responsibility (Functions/Duties) : Essential Functions (List duties responsibilities in this category)Frequency (daily, weekly, monthly, annually, etc…)% of Overall Workload% ImportanceEvaluate present product and make continuous improvements including costs and warranty reductions
