2013年11月2日托福口语真题解析 Task 1 Talk about a country or culture that you want to learn more about, what is it and explain why you want to learn about it? The country I would like to learn more about is the United States. First of all, I’m a big fan of American pop culture. I like listening to music from American bands like Maroon 5 and Coldplay. If I get a chance to go to America, I can go to concerts to enjoy their live performance rather than listening to their recordings in my room. Second, I’m really interested in English, and I like the American accent in particular. I’d love to go there and talk to people everyday to perfect my English skill. Task 2 If you have a school or work assignment, whether writing a report or giving a speech in a large amount of people do you prefer? I prefer giving speeches in class rather than writing essays for the following reasons. First of all, doing class presentation is fun and challenging. I really enjoy spending time to prepare my presentation. From getting my slides in order to making them as pretty and cool as possible. Second, i think public speaking skill is extremely important for my future career. People give presentations and speeches very often in work places nowadays. The more presentations I give at school, the better I’ll be at it when I graduate. Task 3 Reading: Announcement: The school will provide the electronic reading devices for all students. Reason 1: reduce the cost of books Reason 2: students can carry the books everywhere Listening: The girl agrees with the plan Reason 1: She majors in art history and books can cost hundreds of dollars since there are many colorful photographs in them Reason 2: She lives off-campus and she needs to carry all the books to school, they can be really heavy and her arms hurt sometimes Task 4 Definition: Suspension of disbelief means that audience have to forget that what’s on the stage is imaginary but to think it is real. Example: When the professor was in college, his roomm
