Abstract
MicroRNAs(miRNAs)aresmall(,22nucleotide)non-codingRNAsthatregulateamyriadofbiologicalprocessesandare
frequently dysregulated in cancer. Cancer-associated microRNAs have been detected in serum and plasma and hold
promiseasminimallyinvasivecancerbiomarkers,potentiallyforassessingdiseasecharacteristicsinpatientswithmetastatic
diseasethatisdifficulttobiopsy.HereweusedmiRNAprofilingtoidentifycancer-associatedmiRNAsthataredifferentially
expressed in sera from patients with metastatic cast
