AgeneralizedRamanujansum(GRS)isde?nedbyreplacingtheusualM¨obiusfunction
intheclassicalRamanujansumwiththeSouriau-Hsu-M¨obiusfunction.Aftercollecting
basic properties ofaGRS, mostly containing existing ones, seven aspects ofaGRS are
studied. The ?rst shows that the unique representation ofeven functions with respect
toGRSs ispossible. The second isaderivation ofthemean value ofaGRS. The third
