Conciseness IS 选择题三大原则： 1. 八字原则：只改错的，不改对的。不要做不必要的改 动，以免改变原意。 2.修改完成后的句子没有任何语法错误。 3.修改应尽量按照简洁易懂的原则修改。 Comma Splice  通常一个句子里只能有一个 independent clause 如果有两个 independent clause ，那么它们之间必须用coordinator (For, And, Nor, But, Or, Yet, So)连接起来，不 能只用逗号将两个 independent clause 隔开。这类错误一般出现在选项中，比较好排除。  常考句型： S V O , for/and/nor/but/or/yet/so S V O 1 1 1 2 2 2.  例： 错句： They had never before been in a museum with such an extensive collection, they had a difficult time deciding how to make the most of the limited time they could spend there. 正确的句子: Never before having been in a museum with such an extensive collection, they had a difficult time deciding how to make the most of the limited time they could spend there. Logical Subject:  SAT 语法中比较常考的考点。以 v.+ing 开头的 sentence fragments 一定要和其相对的主语匹配。一般 SAT 会 在错误选项中给出与 v.+ing 不匹配的主语。  常考句型： *  By doing, SVO . 指通过某种方式做某事  Doing…, SVO. Doing 和 V 两个动词同时发生，且 doing 是 S 主动去做的  To do…, SVO. To do 在 V 的后面发生，且 to do 表目的  Having done…, SVO. Having done 在 V 前面发生，且 V 为过去式  [prep](in, on…), SVO.  When/While/Although/If/Before+doing/done+adj./n., SVO. 在前一个 sentence fragment 中的主语被省略，且该被省略的主语与 independent clause 中的 S 一致。  SVO, doing/done...
