Shanghai M et ro General Company , Shanghai 200031, China Abstract: Based on numerical analysis method of several adjacent rigid foundations interaction on layered soils, a sys tematic analysis method for computing inclination of box foundat ion is proposed . The method can take into considera tion not only the influence of load eccentricity and interaction of several adjacent foundat ions, but also the influence of the soil restriction on foundation side face and the height of load center to foundation base. A research is made on three adjacent box foundations of which the deformation and pressure distribution on soil surface have been well measured. The computed results are in agreement with the results measured.
