37 6 Vol.37 No.6 2009 3 16 Power System Protection and Control Mar.16, 2009 Discussion about direct transfer trip and breaker fail protection circuit in the reformation of duplex bus differential protection DAI Yuan-sheng , LU Wei, XU Bin (Shanghai Extra High Voltage Power Transmission of SMEPC, Shanghai 201204, China) Abstract: This paper presents some basic principles of duplex configuration about 220kV digital bus differential protection in Shanghai power grid. Based on the bus differential protection reformation project in an old 220kV substation, some problems about DTT (Direct Transfer Trip) and Breaker Fail Protection Circuit are discussed. Then, reasonable explanations and suggestions are given to solve these problems. It is expected that these conclusions and experiences can serve as reference for bus differential protection reformation projects in the future.
