The EBG ( ele trom agneti bandgap) highmi pedan e surfa e stru ture is utilized as a highmi pedan e ground plane for slots on re tangularw aveguide to raise the front to ba k ( F/B) ratio, and de tailed analysis ismade to study the influen e of EBG highmi pedan e surfa e hara teristi on the radiation properties of the slots array antenna of re tangularw aveguide by using the smi ulationm ethod. The ele tri parameters of the de signed example antenna are measured.
