layout知识(国外英文资料) 1.1 CAD and OrCAD design Chapter 1 printed circuit board design and CAD introduction CAD and OrCAD design suite Before diving into the PCB Editor, briefly discuss CAE. The CAE tool covers everything from drawing and analyzing to manufacturing in engineering design. CAD is a branch of CAE that deals with physical layout and drawing in system design. CAD software for Electronic industry is called Electronic CAD (ECAD) or EDA (Electronic Design Automation, Electronic Design Automation). The EDA tool can simulate design and analysis before purchasing and manufacturing hardware, reducing development time and cost. After the design of circuit design, simulation, analysis, etc., the system can be produced. The software used in production is called a CAM tool. CAM tool application software and design data (generated by the CAE tool) to control the automation of production equipment and make the concept of design a reality. So how does OrCAD/Cadence fit all these requirements? Cadence owns and manages many CAD/CAM products related to the electronic industry, including the OrCAD design suite. OrCAD design suite can be purchased from distributors, such as EMA automation design company, they will have different combination of CAD/CAM software package, including the Capture, PSpice software and the PCB Editor, to meet the needs of the customers. The software can be applied separately, but it is possible to bundle each tool into a component that can interact with the software. Capture is the core of the package, the main EDA tool. Capture has a rich library of components that are used to generate schematic diagrams. The schematic can be applied separately, as well as PSpice, PCB Editor, and even both.
