Method　This review article use the data from 1995 to 2014 to inform the clinician about the effects of various cancer treatments on reproductive potential and the options for fertility preservation prior to cancer therapy. Results　It will focus on important recent advancements made in the field of oncofertility, highlight the importance of fertility preservation counseling and future directions for fertility preservation technologies.
