TEM-4 WRITING 2016.4 语块在英语专业四级写作中的运用 （一）聚合词的运用：聚合词是指我们所说的固定词组，在语言表达中到处可见，在专四写作中起着重要的作用。在教学的过程中，笔者发现下面这些固定词组在英语专业四级写作中经常会用到。例如，in a sense，to some extent/degree，take...into consideration/account，take advantage of，pay attention to，play a role in，in some cases，at the same time，attribute to，when it comes to，for the most part，in part，by means of，regardless of，on the rise 等。如果学生能够灵活运用这些固定词组，将会使他们的作文增色不少。 （二）搭配词的运用 搭配词是指那些共现频率很高的词语，如动词和名词、形容词和名词以及名词和名词的高频共现等。从内容来看，专四考试的作文题目不仅与大学生的生活息息相关，而且紧扣时代的脉搏，可以让学生抒发己见。因此，在专四写作中经常会用到下面的搭配词。比如：（ 1）动词+名词搭配：develop one’s interest，acquire knowledge/skills，arouse one’s interest，commit suicide/crime，relieve burden，arrive at/reach a conclusion，conserve water，budget one’s time，exchange ideas，attach importance to，take opportunity 等； （2） 形容词+名词搭配： primary reason，economic development，domestic violence，mutual understanding，heavy traffic， rapid development，heated discussion，public transportation，natural resources，common phenomenon，intense/fierce competition，financial burden material comfort等； （3）名词+名词搭配 ： campus violence，traffic jam，job opportunity，career prospect，computer illiteracy，internet community，job environment等。搭配的种类繁多，对于英语学习者来说，词汇学习要日积月累，而且要经常使用各种词典，逐步提高词汇搭配能力，为合适的语境选择恰当的词汇。 2009年专四高分作文中所使用的语块占文章42.97%的篇幅。可以看到，不管是在语义表达方面还是语篇结构方面，语块在写作中起着至关重要的作用。如果掌握了足够的语块，学生的写作水平就会得到相应的提高。
