Abstract: The study of spatial pattern of forest fire locations is mi portant to predict the fire occurrence as w ell as to understand the role of fire in landscape processes. A spatial statistical analysis of lightningcaused fires in Daxing anling betw een 1988 and 2005, w as carried out to investigate the spatial pattern of fires. Fire locationsw ere found to be spatially clustered. The results also showed that there are some ∀ hotpoint# areas in Dax ing anling and geographical coordinates of those areas are 12306 E, 5220 N; 12341 E, 5134 N; 12408 E, 5048 N, respectively.
