In t his p aper , t he H T GR helium t urbine cycle was analyzed and optimized . Then t he focal point of investigation was concent rated on t he fundament al t hermodynamic and aerodynamic feat ures of helium t urbomachine . A s a result , a helium t urbomachine is different from a general com bustion gas t urbine in two main design feat ures , t hat is a helium t urbomachine has more blade st ages and shorter blade lengt h , which are caused by t he helium p ropert y and t he high p ressure of a clo sed cycle , respectively .
