ABSTRACT After we got into the world trade organization group,our service trade develops a lot. As one of the most developed districts,the service trade development level in Yangtze River Delta is also in the leadership in our country. The total service trader value in the year of 2011 is 419.1 billion US dollars. There is 179.1 billion US dollars from Jiangsu province,Zhejiang province and Shanghai city which takes in over 40% of the our national service trade. And,as the center of Yangtze River Delta areas,Shanghai city has the service trade value of 132.47 billion US dollars that is over 30% of the national value. So,the researches of Yangtze River Delta service trade development not only means a lot to the Yangtze River Delta areas,but also can develop our national service trade and thus,narrowing the distance between us and the developed countries. This passage starts from the relationship between service trade and economic growth and tries to solve a problem. For a district like Jiangsu,Zhejiang,Shanghai areas that service trade is wide open and is trying to develop more,whether the service trade is a boost to the economic growth. In the theory part,this passage firstly probes the relationships between the service trade and economic growth and analyses systematically the theoretical bases and takes in the internal reasons. In the evidence parts,this passage firstly analyses the functions of service trade as a whole to the economic growth in Jiangsu,Zhejiang,Shanghai areas. In the process that describes the economic growth,it uses some indexes like technology creativity index,human capital index etc. to show the economic growth quality.
