Homonymy: when many things have common names and their definitions and called homonyms. For example, people and portrait is homonymy. Synonyms are synonymous with the same name and the same definition of entity as the same name. For example, people and horses. Entity: but many think that the entity is a basic, independent existence, standing under other things, and the source of activity or change. Tommaso (Thomas Aquinas, 1225-1274) probably repeat Aristotles concept of substance, but he stressed that everything must have some fundamental independence, in order to explain the single entity, that is. Since essence has to be immaterial, and the entity is immaterial or material, Augustine (354-430) believes that the word divine is more appropriate than the entity. But because the entity can show God that outstanding independent existence, so that the word was still along for the church. A single entity is an entity?
