BJ to issue residence permit 北京年内推居住证制度
Beijing will usher in a residential permit system in the second half of this year to limit the booming population expansion, said Lu Yan, director of the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission, on Thursday. Lu said the city will also push a point system to allow its migrants to claim permanent resident permits. However, he did not elaborate on how the permit system would affect the population growth. Statistics show Beijings permanent population has exceeded 21m in the first half of the year. Beijing must cap its population at 23m by 2020, according to a coordinated development blueprint of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.

Phantom particle found 中国专家发现幽灵粒子\手机待机一年有望实现
A research team in China claims to have caught a ghostly particle (Weyl fermions) that has haunted and teased physicists for nearly a century. The groundbreaking discovery could boost the development of future technology such as quantum laptops faster than current super computers and smartphones that can last a year on one charge. Led by professor Fang Zhong with the Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Physics, the team announced their first detection of the Weyl fermions by firing a beam of synchrotron radiated light onto a tantalum arsenide crystal(钽砷晶
