The morphology of the alloys was studied using SEM and Molau test. Themechanical proper- ties of thePA66/ HDPE alloys under dry and/ or wet conditions were also compared with those of PA66/ HDPE blends that were prepared through a simple blending of PA66 and HDPE and/ or a so called two - step reactive process. Theresults showed that the alloys prepared through theone step reactive extru- sion simply by putting PA66, HDPE, maleic anhydride, and peroxide initiator into atwin screw extrud- er possessed similar morphology and mechanical properties to the alloys made through the two- step re- active process. Tougheness of the alloys was improved greatly.
