Companies that rely on small batteries for long-acting power equipment are actively seeking wireless transmission technology that meets their requirements. These include sensors for sports, health and fitness, such as global positioning system (GPS), pedometers, blood pressure gauges, and blood sugar tests. At the same time, many other manufacturers have never thought they could enter wireless transmission, such as the watch industry, because of their limitations.
