College of B ioengineering , Chong qing Univ ersity , Chong qing 400044, China; 2. 296 District M easurement Station of Weap on I n ustry , Chongqing 400050, China ) Abstract: A new kind of Charge Coupled Device(CCD) laser displacement sensor for highspeed meas urement was introduced to measure the displacement or highspeed vibration of moving object by the mode of highspeed and realtime. The sensor system is composed of optical system, linear CCD with 7 500 pixels, highspeed AnalogtoDigital Converter ( ADC) with convertion rates up to 40 MHz, highspeed FirstIn, FirstOut (FIFO) memories with clocked reading and writing controls, compara tor selecting circuit and Digital Signal Processor (DSP) . An adaptive control method was adopted to control the light intensity of laser by modulating separately the oscillation frequency and output cur rent of the laser, which made the system suit various specific object or situation. Additionally, the storage data from highspeed A/ D converter and the read data from highspeed FIFO could be con trolled by a comparator selecting circuit, then only useful pixel signals from CCD were memorized by FIFO.
