According to t he studies on 22 samples of soil profile from t he natural forest conservation area at Yingzui mountain ,t he
characteristics of soil were described . Research result s indicated t hat t he typ e of soil profile structure was A - B - C - D ,
- 1
and t he soil develop ment was successive . The average content s of organic matter in t he soil was 54 . 30g ·kg ,t he ratio of
C/ N was 10 . 93 and t he bulk density was 1. 25g ·cm - 3 . t he soil texture was heavy loam or light clay . The soil fertilit y
was higher comp ared wit h t he soil from natural forest conservation of ZhangJ iajie mountain ,which develop ed from t he
same p arent material of silicon rocks as Yingzui area . The forest soil of t he area is typical in t he subtropical natural forest .
So it is valuable to be protected .
