A finite elem ent m ode l of a hum anfloor coupled system is established. Then the dynam ic characteristics are stud ied by theoret ica l analysis and fin ite elem ent calcu lation. T he inf luence of constraint conditions of floo rs, architectural surface and d istribut ion of pedestrian loads fo r free vibration characteristics of f loors are investiga ted. T ak ing longspan ra ilw ay station as a project background, the research of vertica l vibration of floo rsw ith hum anfloor system is perform ed under three dif ferent m odes of action, such as synchron ization, partia l synchron izat ion and random w alk, in order to smi u la te the situation of coupled v ibrat ion of hum anfloor system under different types o f hum an activ ities. Som e conclusions draw n in th is paper can be u sed in response analysis and com fort eva luation of longspan structures under pedestrian loads.
