Martin Luther King Martin Luther King,who was born in 1929,is well-known to us all as a freedom fighter.In 1963,he gave the famous speech I have a dream in Washington D.C.,which inspird people to fight for equality.Then he received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964. Martin Luther King is a man who devoted his life to inspired the black a lot to fight for their rights. I have a dream I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up, live up to the true meaning of its creed: “We hold these truths to be self-evident; that all men are created equal.” I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave-owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood. The devotion Martin Luther King brings us to the question of what African-Americans should do with their new,dearly fought for freedoms found in laws such as the voting Rights Act of 1965.All Americans black and white must unite in order to fight poverty and create a new equality of opportunity. Marxist nor a doctrinaire socialist.he instead advocates for a united movement that would act within both the Republican and Democratic parties In the 20th century, some critics said that it was no longer possible to become prosperous through determination and hard work. Unfair education for students from poor families and racial discrimination almost made the American Dream a nightmare. In the 1990s, California saw a new wave of dreamers in Silicon Valley. People poured their energy into the Internet. This new chapter of the American Dream attracted many business people and young talents from China and India to form start-ups and seek fortunes in America. Gold rush The California Gold Rush (1848–1855) began on January 24, 1848, when gold was discovered by James Marshall at Sutters Mill in Coloma, California.
