G eolog ical St af f H osp i tal of H ubei , Wuhan 430072, Ch ina) Abstract: Studying the accident-inducing factors and the accident characteristics of geological exploration can not only provide the reference for management departments in safety policy-making, but also offer the basis for geological exploration units in strengthening safety protection measures. By combining safety re- search with economic countermeasures,this paper proposes three types of accident cause: accidents caused by people,accidents caused by environment and accidents caused by equipment.It also analyzes the proba- bility characteristics of these accidents,puts forward the corresponding suggestions of safety input for geo- logical exploration units and demonstrates the effects of the input.
